Okay, this isn't the most original of ideas, but I couldn't resist. 2014 has been a year of beauty discoveries for me, and so I thought it would be fun to look back on the best of the bunch!
Soap & Glory Fabulipstick // Pom Pom
This guy. I love me some berry shades and this matte option is my absolute favourite. It lasts for a very long time, only costs £9, and smells heavenly. It is the lipstick that I reach for every day and I can't see that changing any time soon!
Benefit Gimme Brow // Light/Medium
It was only this year that I really "got" brows - leaving them to grow and spending longer on choosing the correct colour to fill them in. Gimme Brow is great for sweeping on on those No Makeup Makeup days, or layered over a primary colour to add something more. This stuff is non crispy, stays put all day, and is the perfect shade for me.
Stila In The Light Palette
This gorgeous palette was a "well done for getting into uni" present for myself, and it was love at first swatch. The shadows are buttery soft and apart from that cooler toned blue/grey, I use every single one! My favourites have to be Bubbly and Kitten, though! The Smudge Stick in Damsel is pretty darn great too.
Sleek Face Form Palette // Fair
I'm not largely into contouring, but this little palette is a good'un. I tend to use the bronzer to warm up my cheeks and the outline of my face, with a little highlighter on the high points of my face. The Rose Gold blusher in the set has got to be my favourite of the bunch - it has a lovely rosy glow with the tiniest bit of pretty shimmer.
Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Palette
I tried to only include one eyeshadow palette, but I just couldn't stop myself... This compact quintet of easily blendable neutral eyeshadows is another go-to, and even comes with simple instructions to recreate Mia Wallace's eye look, something which I find myself doing quite a lot. Unfortunately this was a limited edition palette, but I hope you can admire the beauty!
