Brand New // Denim Swing Dress

Denim dresses are a big trend right now, and so I was quick to jump on the bandwagon with this Glamorous (purchased from ASOS) swing dress. The silky soft dress has a denim print on it, and I love the weight of the fabric - it's light and easy to wear and swishes about, but also has a good weighty feel to it.

When styling this post I knew I wanted to contrast the pretty, floaty dress with a rougher look, and so went with my black leather jacket and chunky Chelsea boots. I threw on some thigh-high socks - I've been loving wearing these with skirts and dresses recently. Once it's warmer I'll wear them on their own, but now I'm sticking to layering them with either black or skin tone tights. I also wore this big geometric shaped necklace with it. Because the dress is so plain in print and in shape, I wanted to add a statement piece.

I can see myself getting so much wear out of this dress. It's proven to be really versatile and a great transition piece. I can layer it up now, but it will still be loose and lightweight for when the warmer weather gets here! Let me know what you think of it.
