Review // Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Plum Russian
While everyone is jumping on the Revlon Matte and Lacquer Colourburst Balms bandwagon, I picked up this gem. I'll admit, I've never fallen into the chubby stick trap, due to an already growing lipstick collection. However, I spotted the Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Plum Russian while making a Superdrug order and added it to my basket on a whim.
And wow, I am so glad I did. This crayon glides on smoothly and feels like a moisturising lip balm. The colour applies much more sheer than in the tube, and creates a beautiful toned down plum effect once on the lips. The colour also stains, and lasts a really long time! Even through eating and drinking, this stayed on my lips for a good five hours. The balmyness (that's a word, right?) wore off after a couple hours, but the colour stayed on.
I am so glad I purchased Plum Russian out of the blue. It's a perfect way to wear a darker lip during these brighter days, and it lasts really well. And the shade is completely up my street, of course. Maybe I will have to give the Revlon balms a go, if they live up to this.
