ModCloth's Uniquely You Campaign

ModCloth contacted me recently, and asked if I would be interested in taking part in their Uniquely You campaign in association with Wanelo, so of course I said yes!. I was challenged to create an outfit around a certain piece of clothing (the Garden Home Tour Dress in Pink) using up to seven other pieces currently being sold on ModCloth.

See my original Wanelo storyboard for links to the items.

We all know by now that I love roughing up girly pieces, so that's what I did here. The dress is beautiful and '50s inspired, and the floral pattern is perfect for Spring and Summer. I added a faux leather jacket and chunky lace up boots to toughen up the look, which could be worn both daytime and nighttime. I then paired it with a coral bag which ties in with the colours of the flowers on the dress, and gold accessories with a necklace, ring and sunglasses. I found the necklace and fell in love with the honeycomb shape, and so the beetle ring seemed fitting, it being along the same lines and all. I drew inspiration from the dress itself, the floral print making me excited to pick out looks I could wear during these warmer months!

ModCloth also have lots of other pretty Spring and Summer dresses, with this one being one of my favourites. Feel free to let me know what you think of the outfit I created!
