Spring Blush

Recently I've been finding myself drawn to blush more and more. It is a step I have always included in my routine, but I've never had a real interest. Until now, it seems. Here are some blushes I've loved wearing recently, and will continue to wear through these (hopefully) warm months.

The most recent purchase shown here is the Rimmel Stay Blushed! Liquid Cheek Tint in Pop of Pink. I have just reviewed this so I won't go on too much here. I love this stuff - it blends so nicely because of its liquid/mouse properties, and creates a really natural flush that can also be built up. The colour is a pink verging on coral, so I think the name suits it well. It dries matte, and once it is set, is it set.

Sleek's blush in Rose Gold (which I purchased with the Face Form Palette in Fair) has been talked about a fair few times recently on this blog, so I will not bore you with the details. In brief, this rosy pink colour has a subtle gold shimmer running throughout which creates a natural, dewy glow - perfect for Spring and Summer.

I adore the Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blushes, and here I have Coral Reef and Pinched. As you can see, Pinched has been well loved. This is my go-to "I'm not wearing blush, I just look totally healthy right now" blush, and is a beautiful peachy shade. In contrast I have Coral Reef, which as the name suggests is a bright coral. Although it looks scary in the pan, it blends out to create a bright but still natural flush. The formula of these is cream to powder, so they also do not budge for a long time.

When applying Rose Gold I like to use a fairly large fluffy blush, as I find a dense brush can make the shimmer a bit too full on. For the other blushes, I like using a smaller stippling brush, and patting and swirling the colour on. Let me know what blush you have been loving recently!
