A self explanatory title, eh?
The primer I've been using is the Benefit That Gal Brightening Face Primer. This is a lightweight, silky feeling primer that does what it says on the tin. It gives my face a much brighter appearance by reflecting light, and stops any of my small scarring from looking so harsh. It also makes the skin feel nice and smooth, so applying foundation is a much quicker and easier process.
When I bought the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream a few months ago, I fell in love with the formula. The three pigments used to counteract darkness and sallowness and to brighten the skin work very well, and it is an incredibly lightweight formula. However, the lightest shade available, Ivory, was a tad too dark for me. But, now I've been on holiday and tanned a little, so I can finally get away with it! I know I'll need to retire it when my slight tan fades away (unless I summon the energy to do a little fake tanning to keep up the healthy glow), but for now I'm loving the sheer, dewy finish that it creates, and just follow up with a little concealer where I need it.
I've never gone for too much of a heavy foundation anyway, usually opting for a finish somewhere in the middle, but I've really enjoyed opting for a light and bright base. I can see it becoming more of a regular occurrence!
