Simple Seasonal Nail Art

As you all know, I'm not the biggest nail art person - I genuinely just prefer the look of plain nail colours. However, sometimes the mood strikes me and I want to add a little more. Recently I was playing about with some more seasonal colours and this happened!

Essie // Bordeaux, Topshop // Aurelian

To recreate the look, you paint your nails as normal - apply a base coat, two or three coats of colour, then leave them to dry. Once they are dry, take a small amount of tape, stick it repeatedly to your arm so it isn't tacky, and carefully apply it so there is a diagonal section of your nail covered. Paint over the exposed section, peel off the tape, and viola! Just finish with a top coat over all of your nails and you're done!

My nails came off a little Christmassy looking, but it is A/W after all! Of course it would work with any combination of colours you like, and you could always create the pattern on more than one nail. Let me know if you give it a shot!
