Going Nude

...In the form of lipstick, guys. Chill.

I've never been much of a nude liner/lipstick gal but, just like what seems to be every other blogger, I've fallen a bit head-over-heels in love with Kylie Jenner's makeup. Although I'm still planning a trip to MAC for the coveted Velvet Teddy lipstick or Soar lip liner, I thought I should pick up a cheaper alternative to test out that kind of nude-pink-brown on myself. Enter the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in shade Eastend Snob...

This creamy liner applies smoothly and stays put for a very, very long time. Its matte formula is perfect for wearing under lipstick or by itself. I find that it's one of those colours that automatically makes my lips look plumper and just, well, nice. For me, this is the perfect "your lips but better" matte shade, and one I reach for when I'm not feeling my usual berry shades.

After I fell in love with the lip liner I picked up another nude-esque shade, the Bourjois Rouge Velvet Edition Liquid Lipstick in Nude-Ist. Its merits are exactly the same as the liner (long lasting, creamy, yada yada...) but it packs a little more punch colour wise. I like to think of it as a cross between a nude and a berry shade - it's lovely!

I actually managed to snap this liner after photographing (d'oh) but for £3.99 I really don't mind repurchasing - unless I manage to melt the two parts together again! And as for the liquid lipstick, for £8.99 it's on the pricier side for a drugstore product but I think it's totally worth it - it lasts for so long!
