The Winter Rack

I've finally got around to photographing my 'Winter Rack' - the clothes I've been reaching for over this past (and current - it's still cold in Scotland) season. I'll do a general overview and then pick out a few of my favourite items!

The lack of colour is not just a winter thing, that's just my usual wardrobe, heh. Winter is time for cosy comfy jumpers and thick leggings, with the occasional pretty dress or skirt thrown in. Boots are a total must, along with massive scarves, oversized coats, and a big floppy hat.

This roll neck jumper (Topshop) has probably been my favourite of the bunch. In a pretty maroon colour and the cosiest fabric, it's been great for pairing with thick leggings or some tights and thigh high boots. It's the perfect item to throw on and instantly feel chic, but still incredibly comfortable.

Speaking of thick leggings, this pair was a new venture for me. I'm not one to usually go for lighter colours on the bottom, but I've been besotted with this checked pair. Because they're still monochrome, they go with a variety of outfits. And, so, so comfortable.

This crop top represents the general themes of; roll necks, ribbed clothing, and layering up. Also, white clothing made an appearance for probably the first time! I invested in a couple tops of this kind and it's one of the best decisions I made this season. They allow you to still wear dresses and playsuits without being completely freezing, and they look so chic worn by themselves too.

One of those playsuits aforementioned was this guy (Oh My Love). Again, monochrome means it goes with pretty much anything and the dotty print is so pretty. Because it is quite low cut by itself, wearing a top like the one before underneath it also made it a more comfortable wear, and dressed it down quite a bit for everyday wear too.

I hope you liked this little peak into my wardrobe! I'm sure there will be another Rack post for you in the Spring!
