Losing It & Getting It Back

I feel like every few months I roll out a new apology post, but this one will be a little different. Yes, I've let my blog slip, but I'm not completely upset about it.

Some of you might already know, but I'm an English and Creative Writing student, and as of right now I'm nearly finished my first Creative Writing module. It has honestly been one of the best experiences I've ever had. In every workshop I'm surrounded by incredibly talented people with unlimited imaginations and it's just so fun. We critique each other's work in a friendly and supportive way, we laugh through the monologues and the poems (or cry) I always leave the building feeling so accomplished yet inspired to push myself further. One of my tutors even reads my blog now and tells me that I keep raising the bar higher and higher for myself each week - something that any aspiring writer would love to hear I'm sure. Also, hi Eddie if you're reading!

My point is, although I haven't been blogging, I have been writing. With moving into a new flat and having to sort that out (why has no one prepared me for setting up bill payments or reading metres), being bombarded with assignment after assignment and trying to keep a journal nearly every day, all while trying to push myself to actually have a social life outside of my flatmates this year, it has been a struggle to find time and inspiration to blog. But deep down I love it, and I love blogs around this time of year too - it always makes me feel so warm and fuzzy reading a post or ten all wrapped up in bed.

So, hopefully this means I'm back. The lovely Kassi just asked me if I would take part in a blogger Q&A for her university magazine and it's given me a right kick up the arse. I have a whole backlog of drafts written so it's time to edit and take photos in what little light we have this winter. Sure, I may not be as regular as I would like, but I'm raring to get back into doing what I love.

Thanks for the continued support, guys xo
