I'm good at saving money, I pride myself on that. But when it's Christmas and you have extra money to spend on yourself instead of rent and food, you need to treat yourself. Yes, this is me justifying the total splurge I made in Space NK. But look at all the pretty.
There's a bit of a theme here, in that all items are totally hyped up in the blogging world, but that (from my first impressions) are genuinely pretty darn great. The thing that sparked it all was the By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock which is the most gorgeous taupey-bronzey-lilacy shimmery cream eyeshadow stick. It's unlike anything I own and I already know I need to get my hands on more shades.
Staying with the shimmery glowing theme, comes the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure. This perhaps isn't the prettiest looking of the range, but when I swatched this one I knew it was the natural, but still glowing, blush that I was looking for. For even more shimmer, I finally got my hands on Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop. This is an incredibly pigmented over the top highlighter but it looks so beautiful, and I don't own a warm toned highlighter so it's a very welcome addition to my makeup bag.
And lastly comes my first foray into the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils. I don't think there is a colour in the range I dislike, but I decided to go a little out of my comfort zone and chose this bright pinky red, Dragon Girl. Anna raves about these lip pencils all the time (actually, I think every product here is an Anna-inspired purchase!) so I'm incredibly excited to test it out and perhaps pick up a few more shades. Damned, I'm looking at you...
