This is simple one, the makeup I've been slapping on my face since the sun has made its appearance. I've actually been using most of these for a few months now, but they have totally become staples in my makeup bag.
I usually wear a light base anyway, but in summer I find it essential and the new one I've been giving a go is the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream. It's a strange texture, but once blended in leaves my skin looking so natural. I've opted for a shade darker than I would normally go for seeing as I've been fake tanning, and it's such a gorgeous base. I can see myself purchasing my normal pale shade when the tan fades away!
For powder it's got to be the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light - it sets my base and gets rid of shine yet still makes my skin glow. I've always gone for cheap and cheerful powders in the past, but I'm so glad I chose to splurge on this as I truly love the way it makes my skin look. Another Hourglass purchase is the Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure. This is one of those shades that looks a bit dull in the pan, but on the cheeks it is such a natural colour and a perfect non-offensive, goes with anything kind of shade.
As I wrote in a recent post, I've been going through a bit of a lipstick rut recently, in that most of my collection isn't calling to me anymore. A recent purchase, however, is Soap & Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick in Rosy Chic. It's a matte rosy pink shade that I find flattering and that perks my face up, especially with some faux glow going on. I like that it's one of those bright-but-not-bright shades that can be worn any time.
And lastly, comes Urban Decay's All Nighter Setting Spray. This is the first setting spray I've ever used and I'm already converted - it is a must to set the makeup and to make it all mesh together. I find that my makeup just looks so much better once this has been applied, and the longevity is great. It'll be put to the test when I'm in America, though!
